An online journal on an industrial space
Tétris delivered a turnkey project to Observador, one of the most popular online newspapers in Portugal.
With a very high perspective of growth, as the company was getting bigger, the client found it mandatory to have a new office space for the future. The main goal was not only to accommodate all the employees, but also areas that answer the companies’ needs, namely to have spaces for different types of information and communications technologies – radio, online magazine and TV.
The space, located in a traditional and residential neighbourhood in Lisbon, was a former car park garage and its industrial character was something very challenging from the beginning.
The new office programme included an open space area for 130 workstations, 25 hotdesks, meeting rooms, phonebooths, auditorium and library, Television and Radio Studios.
By taking advantage of the existing high ceiling Tétris was able to create a mezzanine area of meeting rooms from where it is visible all the new infrastructures that communicate with the existing structure of the building.
